Ben Morris

Ben Morris is an experienced and dynamic photographer, artist and director who often uses collage and illustration as part of his medium.

Ben was born in North Yorkshire, England, and studied Photography at the London Institute under his tutor Mark LeBon, before taking his own approach to photography and experimentation in different photographic mediums after leaving university. Ben’s warm and exciting approach to his photographs and moving image stand out greatly at a time of renewed optimism and excitement in the photographic industry. Bens work reveals his unique ability to combine his visual imagery with intimate artistic interpretation, a result of his time working as a reportage photographer before he moved into fashion, his love of painting and his collage work. As a direct consequence of Ben's love for photography and his personality, his shoots and sets are full of positive energy, adventure and humour which is greatly valued by clients and colleagues alike.

Ben shoots on a range of different mediums and cameras to create the perfect artistic setting for whatever subject he is working with on any set day. When working with film Ben is known for his photographic collages, and all multiple exposures are done within the camera, on a single negative with no post production. Whilst mentoring photography students in 2016 he developed a way to teach students with dyslexia to learn photography using colours instead of numbers, a practice he still uses to this day to help students and developing photographers on his team.

Ben’s strong narrative and sometimes candid style, and the capacity to document seemingly intimate moments has seen him shoot for magazines such as British Vogue, American Vogue, Vogue UA, Arena Homme +, Man About Town, Paper Magazine, Numéro, Numéro ART, Muse, Purple Magazine and The Last Magazine amongst many others. Ben’s commercial clients include, Maison Margiela, Y3, Mulberry, Phillip Lim, Dries Van Noten, Dior, Bloomingdales, John Varvatos, Uniqlo, Nike, Prada, Fred Perry and Dunhill.
