Will Davidson’s immersion in photography began in 2000 when he became first assistant and black and white printer to the legendary photographer David Bailey in London. Taking both the heritage of photography’s analog past and its digital possibilities, Davidson creates a versatile range of editorial and advertising work that moves from the fantastical and romantic to the classical and modern. His photographs have appeared in magazines including Dazed & Confused, Glamour,i-D, Muse, Russh, V, Vogue Australia, Vogue China, Vogue Germany, and Vogue Russia. For Harper’s Bazaar Australia and Vogue Australia Davidson has created front covers and editorial stories of leading actors and performers including Kate Blanchett, Rose Byrne, Nicole Kidman, Kate Upton, Mia Wasikowska, and Naomi Watts. He has also created advertising campaigns for brands including Adidas, Bergdorf Goodman, Burberry, Davidoff, Calvin Klein, and Nike. His short films have been commissioned by Cerruti, Diesel, Lane Bryant, Levi’s, Kylie Minogue, Topman, and Victoria’s Secret. Davidson’s personal project in collaboration with dancers from the Michael Clark Company and The Royal Ballet, was commissioned by Channel 4 (UK) and ABC Television (Australia).
