Stef Mitchell captures arresting and intimate moments, uninhibited by the confines of conventional commercial photography, her images emanate a world of youthful joy and rebellion. Her work has appeared in i-D, US Vogue, Self Service, Mastermind, Replica and M Le Monde and she has worked with brands including Saint Laurent, Balenciaga and Paco Rabanne. Since 2018, Mitchell has released several self-published zines, such as Space Moves Like the Surface of the Sea, with long-standing collaborators Freja Beha Erichsen and Sydney Rose Thomas. Pushing the boundaries of creative expression across several platforms, Mitchell has cemented her status as an important voice in contemporary fashion photography. Born in Australia, she now resides in Paris.
