A Place for Us, a film by artist Tom Hunter, is being screened daily in the Serpentine Gallery Sackler's Centre of Arts and Education.
Working with residents of the Woodberry Down Estate in east London, Hunter has created a film that includes interviews and scenes re-creating life on the Estate throughout its entire history. The film is one of five commissions that have taken place as part of the Serpentine Gallery's Skills Exchange Project in which artists, designers and architects work in collaboration with older people, care workers, young people and activists to develop ideas for social and architectural change. There will be a special screening on Wednesday 15th December, 11am, at the Rio Cinema in Dalston, London. To read a review of the film and watch an extract on THE GUARDIAN website click here.
